Informal gathering at Bodiam Castle to enjoy your own picnic lunch in the grounds. It is a beautiful place complete with moat and most of a castle so well worth the time if the weather is good. Non National Trust members will need to pay £2 for parking but entry to the grounds is free. This is obviously not compulsory but if you are planning on arriving in time for lunch, perhaps it would be more enjoyable to eat with friends! (Bodiam is marked on the map on the Directions page)

NB There is also a cafe if the weather is unsuitable for sitting outside!
